First Foot Soldiers are a Shetland based band that play a wide range of classic rock and pop songs from the 20th century.

Formed in late 2010, First Foot Soldiers have established themselves as one of Shetland’s most in-demand live acts.

Robert Balfour

Drums & Vocals

Rob has had a starring role in many Shetland bands, most recently with The Munchies and Magic Money Tree Band.

Arthur Nicholson

Lead Guitar & Vocals

Arthur has been at the forefront of Shetland Rock since he was in his early teens, and released a successful solo album in 2013 called Sticks & Stones. You can also catch him as frontman of Shetland supergroup The Dead Pans.

Chris Thomson

Keys, Guitar & Vocals

Chris has had a wide-ranging musical experience, and currently plays piano with Magic Money Tree Band.

Shaun Strachan

Bass

Shaun joined First Foot Soldiers in late 2013, after a stint as bassist for 2014 SYPG Battle of the Band winners Auto Pilot.
